General reservation and condition terms regardin accomodation services
These conditions apply to accommodation bookings made by individuals and corporate customers in the accommodation rooms of Majatalo Juuka (Vanhatie 8) and hotel rooms (Poikolantie 2), unless a special other agreement has been drawn up. These conditions do not apply to bookings made by individuals if the booking is made for a group of more than 10 people. These terms and conditions also apply to accommodation bookings made via Majatalo Juuka’s websites.
1. RESERVATION AND CONFIRMATION
When booking, you must provide your name, residential address, time of arrival and departure, and method of payment. A reservation is binding on the inn once it has been confirmed orally, in writing or, for example, by e-mail, and when you have received confirmation of it. The inn may make the booking subject to different rules, payment of the booking fee or confirmation of the booking with a credit card as a condition of the binding nature of the booking.
2. ENTRY AND DEPARTURE
The room is available for you at 15:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure. The inn may have different arrival and departure times. For security reasons, only staff and check-in rooms Check-in is allowed in the accommodation rooms and other reserved areas, the maximum number of people per room and room must not be exceeded.
Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking or the price or time you choose is not subject to any other conditions, the room will be held until 18:00 on the date of arrival indicated on the booking. If you arrive later, you will need to confirm your late arrival time by credit card or other agreed means. Otherwise, the inn may resell the room. If you arrive at the inn according to its arrival times, but the booked room is not available, the inn must obtain the nearest possible room of the same level at no extra cost.
3. RESERVATION GUARANTEE
A booking fee of 30% can be used to secure the booking and will be billed to the customer in advance. The reservation takes effect when the payment is received. The inn keeps the room booked at even after 18:00, without the need to separately notify late arrival. To do this, the inn will need the following information from you: your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. The inn may request this information in writing or orally.
4. CANCELLATION AND NON-ARRIVAL
Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking or the price or time of booking you choose is not subject to any other conditions, cancellation must be made no later than 18:00 on the day before arrival. If you do not arrive, the inn has the right to charge you a one-day price including taxes and any other additional services related to the booking.
5. DEPARTURE BEFORE THE AGREED TIME
If you leave the hotel before the agreed departure date, you must notify the guest house of your departure no later than 14:00 the day before. In the case of multi-night stays, you will have to pay the agreed price for the unused time. Departure before the agreed time may also cause a change in the total price of the accommodation.
6. FEES
If the inn has not received a booking fee, the inn has the right to charge the booking fee in full for your booking upon check-in. Invoicing is only possible for business customers, and the name and contact information of the booker as well as the company’s name, business ID and billing address must be stated in connection with the booking.
The inn accepts the most common payment cards. However, the inn is not obliged to accept foreign currency, coupons, checks or debit cards if the inn itself has not offered to do so. If the room has not been prepaid, the accommodation must be paid for in cash or by credit card on site at the inn. The inn has the right to charge and pre-verify the credit card to international credit card holders at the time of booking. As a prepayment, the credit card may be charged the booking fee specified by the inn at the time of booking, which will be deducted from the final invoice.
7. CUSTOMER PRESENTATION IN THE ACCOMMODATION BUSINESS
At the inn we follow good manners and rules of order. If you break these rules, you may be immediately removed from the inn. However, you will have to pay for your accommodation and any additional services you have ordered, and you will not be able to claim a refund of any payment already made. For security reasons, only the checked-in person will be allowed in the accommodation rooms and other reserved areas. The maximum number of people per room and space must not be exceeded.
8. LIABILITY FOR CUSTOMER PROPERTY
You are responsible for your own luggage, unless the guest house has taken it for storage. If the inn is not responsible for the luggage taken for storage, the inn must be notified separately. The inn is not responsible for damage to or loss of the vehicle or property inside the inn’s parking area.
9. CUSTOMER LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE
As a customer, you are liable for any damage caused by your will or negligence (such as smoking in a room) to you or your guests or pets to the room or other premises, the furniture or fittings there, and other customers or their property. Liability for damage is determined in accordance with the general principles of damages.
10. ACCOMMODATION OF THE MINOR
A room can only be booked by a person over the age of 18. A person booking a room for a minor is responsible for the minor, regardless of whether he or she stays with him or her. A minor staying alone must have a free-form permit signed by the guardian stating the minor’s name and date of birth and the time of the stay. The name, telephone number and address of the guardian are also required.
11. PETS
Pets are welcome in our inn. We charge pets € 10 per / night or € 30 / booking. The charge includes a maximum of two pets. Pets must always be notified in advance and the registered guest is personally responsible for the well-being of their pet and any damage and costs it may cause.
Pets are not allowed to disturb other guests staying at the inn. There are a limited number of pet rooms in our inn, so we recommend booking a room well in advance of your trip. (One (1) in the inn and one (1) in the hotel are reserved for those traveling with a pet).
